Titled Two Flashfires, My Hero Academia season 7 episode 8 adapted chapters 350 to 352 of the manga. The episode kicked off by delving into Touya Todoroki's past and how he became Dabi. Before turning into the villain he is today, he was just a child who yearned deeply for his father's acknowledgment.

However, he was neglected, and that feeling of hurt and disappointment led to the incident at Sekoto Peak. Luckily for him, he fell into a river and didn't burn through it completely. All For One (AFO) stumbled upon his burnt and dying body, taking him in and healing whatever was possible of it.

When he woke up three years later, he still yearned to show his father what he was capable of. Witnessing the flames of death in this monomaniac, even AFO let him go, having gauged that he wouldn't last long. However, when Touya returned home, he was greeted by the same ruthless father he remembered and hoped had changed.

As they fought, Dabi repeatedly attempted to provoke Shoto. He berated the latter for not achieving his full potential despite having the perfect environment and body to do so while bombarding him with a barrage of attacks.

Dabi also used Endeavor's moves, including Jetburn and Hell Spider. However, Shoto had come prepared with a move of his own: Flashfire Fist Phosphor: Icebound Crash Coldflame's Pale Blade.

It was the perfect weapon against Dabi, and he realized that Shoto had grown. As such, it made him burn even hotter. Shoto's comrades jumped to his rescue, which gave him time to regain his cold flames as he landed his ultimate move, the Great Glacial Aegir. Landing a hard blow to Dabi, the bout ended with the battlefield covered in ice.
