My Hero Academia season 7 has recently ended and there is a general perspective in the fandom that it has redeemed Studio Bones. While this anime adaptation started quite well a few years ago, there has been a viewpoint that the studio failed to do justice to the source material in the previous three seasons, with this one being a noticeable return to form.
A general complaint is that the series' tone in the manga switched to a darker one in the final arcs and Studio Bones failed to capture that atmosphere for the most part. However, My Hero Academia season 7 was a step in the right direction, adding the degree of detail, atmosphere, and dynamics that fans think a series of this caliber deserves.

My Hero Academia season 7 has done a great job redeeming Studio Bones' adaptation
There has been a perspective in the fandom of this series that Studio Bones failed to do justice to the source material, i.e. author Kohei Horikoshi's manga. As the series progressed, the tone and art style became grittier and there has been a feeling that the studio continuing with bright colors and standard animation wasn't enough to do justice to what was on the page.
However, My Hero Academia season 7 recently ended and has been considered a return to form, compared to what was done in the previous three installments of the anime adaptation. It seems that Studio Bones listened to criticism and delivered an adaptation of the source material that did justice to the grittier feel of the final arcs, which deserves much credit.
Fans have praised the high level of detail in some moments of the season while also adding a lot of atmosphere during the final war arc. This is further emphasized in moments such as Dabi's fights with the Todoroki family or All Might's final encounter with All For One in the last few episodes of the season, thus showing how the studio pushed the envelope in that regard.
The legacy of Studio Bones
My Hero Academia season 7 has done a great job elevating Studio Bones' reputation in recent years. While there has been a general perception that the studio has failed to do justice to the source material, it is also worth reminding fans that this adaptation was the one that helped make the franchise a worldwide success, being the entry point for a lot of newcomers.
Moreover, while it is fair to say that the animation quality of My Hero Academia season 7 is fairly strong, this isn't the first time that has happened. Moments such as All Might's fights against the Nomu and All For One earlier in the series or Endeavor's battle with the High-End Nomu in the fourth season are prime examples that the studio can do a lot of good as well.
Final thoughts
There is no denying that My Hero Academia season 7 can be considered a return to form for Studio Bones and also represents a very good sign for the upcoming season, which is bound to be the final one. In terms of atmosphere, fluid animation, and art, this season has been a considerable success.
