With My Hero Academia season 8 being announced for next year, the upcoming anime will be the final chance for animation studio BONES to fix external problems with the adaptation. While BONES is known for doing a decent job with My Hero Academia, the adaptation could be improved multifold if they make some changes for the upcoming season.

As fans might know by now, My Hero Academia season 8 will be the anime's final season. While an animation studio is usually expected to improve its adaptation quality over time, that hasn't been the case for the Kohei Horikoshi anime. Unlike other anime studios, BONES has been quite stuck to the source material itself with no room for creativity. This is something that could be improved in the upcoming final anime season.

What should BONES change while adapting My Hero Academia season 8?

Firstly, BONES should not shy away from expanding and adding segments to the final battle between Deku and Tomura Shigaraki. Given that this battle has been highly anticipated by fans, it would be great to see the animation studio expand the fight with some anime-original scenes.

The same needs to be implemented in the fight between All Might and All For One. The main reason behind this is that fans will have to wait a year to witness the continuation of the two fights. Hence, some anime-original scenes should help hype fans for the series' conclusion. Given that My Hero Academia season 8 will likely have 13 episodes, BONES should easily be able to pull this off.

In addition, BONES should likely get its most talented animators to return for My Hero Academia season 8. Such staff changes could also see some new faces join the My Hero Academia production, which could give the staff members a little creative freedom to go wild with the anime just like other animation studios do.

Lastly, manga creator Kohei Horikoshi should likely provide the anime team with some notes and pointers on how to deal with the epilogue section of the story. As fans might remember, they were left with several questions after the manga ended. Hence, some suggestions from the original creator should help Studio BONES flesh out the characters further in the story's conclusion.

These changes are essential as fans have stuck with the manga series for over 10 years. Hence, it does not make sense for them to be left confused about the fates of their favorite characters in the anime's end. One cannot predict how such a change would look like. Hopefully, BONES and Kohei Horikoshi will have noted all the issues fans had with the ending. Hence, such a development is not impossible, to say the least.
