On June 24, 2024, it was announced that My Hero Academia would conclude in five more chapters, and fans have since hoped that a talk between Deku and Ochaco would focus on their future relationship.

The previous episode kicked off the epilogue, following the climax of the final war. The U.A. High School third-years graduated, and Deku's class was promoted to the next year. Aoyama also decided to leave the school and start over.

While there were many strange moments in the chapter, the most unusual was the interaction between Deku and Ochaco, which ended without a valuable exchange of words. With the series nearing its conclusion, fans are eager for Horikoshi to give both characters a fitting ending.

My Hero Academia: What ending do fans want for Deku and Ochaco?

My Hero Academia chapter 425, titled Out-of-Season, commenced with the graduation ceremony of the third-year students of the U.A. High School. After the students were offered their degrees, Mirio gave a graduation speech, impressing everyone.

On the other hand, Deku's class was promoted to the next year, and they retained their homeroom teacher, Aizawa. Aoyama also entered the class and announced that he would be leaving the U.A. to start his life from scratch, as everything he had done so far was on the orders of All for One.

Aoyama's graduation party was also announced. Deku asked Todoroki if he would be attending, and the latter said he has no issues as long as it wasn't on the same day as 'that day.' The chapter then shifted to a scene where Endeavor was seen sitting before a chamber.

During the chapter, Deku closed in on Ochaco and wanted to talk to her about something. But she diverted the topic by asking Deku about his hair. With the series ending in five more chapters, the moments between Deku and Ochaco will be crucial in the eyes of shippers who want the two characters to end up together.

The majority of the fandom emphasized the importance of Deku and Uraraka having a meaningful conversation before the next five chapters concluded. The happy ending that fans hope for is one in which Uraraka and the protagonist both escape any physical or psychological injuries they might have sustained during the final battle.

A netizen highlighted Uraraka's smile, which she gave Deku, implying that she was concealing something. There could be a reason behind this smile which Deku must figure if he wants to be close to her.

Moreover, one fan teased a moment where Aoyama, before his departure, could ask Deku about Uraraka—the same question that he asked Uraraka in the initial arcs.

My Hero Academia ending in a few chapters was already confirmed when the final war ended with the demise of Tomura Shigaraki and All for One. With the end now closing in, fans want their characters to be settled in their relationships, and one of the most popular ones is that of Deku and Ochaco. Since they were first introduced to one another, fans have loved their chemistry and wanted to see them together.
