A primary combat character, Tokoyami can express a certain degree of discipline and tactical thinking, thus making him adaptable to situations.

His ability to manipulate Dark Shadow from long ranges mirrors Lady Nagant's precision in sharpshooting. With the right psyche, Tokoyami could be utilized toward a more calculated, distant approach to combat, making him one of the My Hero Academia students who could've been the next Lady Nagant.
