Narenare -Cheer for You!- is a recent anime-only series started by P.A. Works and follows Kanata, a cheerleader struggling with motivation and confidence issues. She has been facing those issues since her best friend, Megumi, got injured and couldn't spot her because she wasn't on the team. However, this allows her to meet other girls who help her find motivation to do other things and recover her confidence.

What to expect in Narenare -Cheer for You!-?

This P.A. Works production started with the opening scene of Megumi and Kanata in their cheerleading squad during a performance, only for the former to get injured in the process. Then the series has a short timeskip that focuses on showing how Megumi is still recovering from the aforementioned injury and how Kanata has left the team because her confidence fell apart without the former to spot her.

The main focus of the plot is centered around Kanata meeting two girls from other schools, Nodoka and Anna, with the latter also being from Brazil, which often leads to some comedic scenes because of the language barrier. They want to build a successful video channel and want a girl named Suzuha, who has gotten people's attention for her notorious athletics. allowing her to jump from one rooftop to another, to get involved.

This event leads to the beginning of this coming-of-age story for Kanata, who tries to help them get Suzuha on board but fails miserably. However, this is the start of her journey to gain more self-confidence.
