Narenare: Cheer for You episode 2 will air on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 11:45 p.m. JST. The broadcast will air on TV Tokyo and other Japanese television networks, and Crunchyroll will stream it worldwide. It is being adapted by the studio P.A. Works.

The first episode introduced the character of Kanata, a former cheerleader who quit the team after her friend Megumi got injured, resulting in the former losing confidence in herself since she felt she couldn't "fly". However, things slowly begin to change as she meets two girls from another school who like to stream— Anna and Nodoka— and is also introduced to a gymnast named Shion, who also happens to tag along with the group.

All of these different characters get together, ironically enough, because of the one girl who doesn't want to hang out with them, which is Suzuha, who also happens to have supreme athletic qualities. Anna wants to get her into her video channel and Kanata tries to help, but Suzuha simply wants to be left alone, thus kickstarting their journey into the story.

This P.A. Works production started with the opening scene of Megumi and Kanata in their cheerleading squad during a performance, only for the former to get injured in the process. The episode then cuts to a time in the future, showing how Megumi is still recovering and Kanata has left the team because her confidence fell apart without her friend to spot her.

The bulk of the episode was centered around Kanata meeting two girls from other schools, Nodoka and Anna, with the latter also being from Brazil, which led to some funny moments regarding the language barrier. They want to build a successful video channel and want a girl named Suzuha, who has gotten people's attention for her notorious athletics, to get involved.

This event leads to the beginning of this coming-of-age story for Kanata, who tries to help them get Suzuha on board but fails miserably. That results in a moment where Kanata jumps extremely high, much to her surprise.

What to expect in Narenare: Cheer for You episode 2?

It is difficult to predict what is going to happen in the second episode of the series, since there isn't any source material to go by. However, there is a chance that the vast majority of the first episode is going to be focused on getting Suzuha to participate on their channel, and further developing the setting of the story.
