Madara Uchiha from Naruto is one of the most evil characters in anime due to his selfish and destructive goals. The character wanted to achieve immortality as he considered this true domination over the other shinobis, and he even managed to achieve this goal. However, he didn't pay attention to his surroundings and was betrayed eventually.

On the other hand, if the protagonist had made choices similar to the Uchiha ghost in the series, the results would have made the calamity of the series vanish or resolved in a matter of a few chapters/episodes. The events of the Fourth Great Ninja War would have also changed, resulting in a future with less destruction and the protagonist having godly powers.

Exploring a future where Naruto Uzumaki desired power just like Madara Uchiha

Naruto Uzumaki, known for his selfless personality, is the series's central protagonist. However, what would have happened if he sought power just like one of the final antagonists of the series, Madara Uchiha? To picture such a scenario, let's see the progression of events from the time the protagonist could have gotten his hands on Rinnegan.

After defeating Pain, the protagonist traced its chakra and reached a place where Nagato was manipulating Pain's body. In the series, the protagonist forgave Nagato for his acts, and he passed away peacefully. However, if the protagonist had sought power, he would have stolen the Rinnegan. From this point, the events in the future would take a drastic turn.

At that time, the protagonist had mastered Sage Mode, so he could have combined it with the Rinnegan. This would help him take over Kurama, the Nine-tails, very easily. After having the infinite chakra reserve of the Nine-tails, the powers of the Sage and Rinnegan, the protagonist could easily be declared the strongest character without any Six Paths chakra.

This wouldn't stop the Fourth Great Ninja War from happening, but the protagonist, being the strongest character, would change the events of the war. For starters, the protagonist wouldn't let Obito become the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, as he would have easily convinced the Tailed Beasts to stay with him using the Rinnegan.

This would automatically stop the rebirth of Madara Uchiha and make the protagonist close to a god as the jinchuriki of the Ten-tails, something similar to Kaguya. Speaking of Kaguya, her revival would also be impossible because Black Zetsu would hide after witnessing the protagonist's power, delaying his plan to revive his mother in the future.

Unfortunately, this would also forbid Sasuke Uchiha from getting his Rinnegan, as Hagoromo wouldn't bestow his Six Paths chakra upon him. However, the war would end without the activation of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and characters like Neiji wouldn't be sacrificed.

The protagonist would also meet his father as Orochimaru had his plans on the side. The four revived Hokage would also enter the fight but would be amazed at how everything was taken care of through the son of the Fourth Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki.

So, the protagonist with the selfish goal of obtaining power, like the Uchiha Ghost, would have made the strongest Shonen protagonist by a milestone with the powers of the Ten-tails, Sage Mode, and the strongest dojutsu, the Rinnegan.
