In October 2024, the crossover comic between Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto and the comic series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is set to be released. The comic series could feature the four anthropomorphic brothers in an action-filled story within the ninja world.

In the past, Kishimoto's magnum opus collaborated with many media projects, one of the most successful being the collaboration with Micheal B. Jordan. Recently, a collaboration between Sanrio and Junji Ito was also announced, hinting that anime has become the talk of the town, which is why different media projects want to collaborate with this media.

What is the Naruto x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collaboration comic?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT) is a comic book series that started in 1984. The authors of these comic series were Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. After many publisher changes, IDW Publishing took the series under its wing. Naruto is one of the most famous Shounen manga series, which started in 1999 and ended in 2014. The series was published by Weekly Shounen Jump in Japan.

The recent collaboration between these two media projects is set to be released in October 2024, with no specific date announced. As of this article's publication, no official synopsis regarding this collaboration project has been unveiled. However, a cover art, drawn by DC comic artist Jorge Jimenez (Justice League), was released, though it was not the final art for the collaboration project.

"I couldn’t be more excited"— Fans react to the collaboration project

The fandom is hyped about this collaboration and wants to see the turtles try the jutsu techniques in Kishimoto's universe, as the turtles also know ninjutsu.

Although there is no announcement as to who will be working on this project, a fan expressed his desire to see Jorge Jimenez, the artist who drew the cover art, working on this project. Nonetheless, the fandom wants this collaboration comic to hit the stores as soon as possible so they can read it.

"The collab no one expected but we all needed" a fan said.
"Naruto coming to the streets of New York?" another one said.
"I couldn’t be more excited about something tbh" another one claimed.
"Happy for Jimenez for finally being able to work on Naruto officially" another fan said.

In 2009, the authors of TMNT sold the rights to their comic series to a media company. The series went through the same process several times until finally landing in the hands of IDW Publishing new comics of this series since 2011. The recent collaboration could be a chance for the publishing company to make their series big again.

Most fans would remember watching this series in their childhood, but it disappeared into thin air, which could be due to its publishing studio changing all the time. With the studio now making a grand collaboration with one of Japan's biggest manga series, things are looking bright for TMNT.
