The episode began with Natsume carrying a small piece of Origami paper folded in the shape of a doll. It happened to be a Yokai and Natsume wanted to take care of it. He found it one morning after having a strange dream. That very day, he was visited by a kite-shaped Yokai who wanted Natsume to safeguard and take care of the Origami Yokai.

Natsume diligently took care of the piece of paper and carried it with him. Every day, the Yokai thanked Natsume and Madara by showing them beautiful and ethereal dreams. Natsume was enjoying his days as some of the most mundane tasks became enjoyable. He was worried that one of the Yokais was coming for the Origami Yokai.

However, he soon realized that the monstrous appearance was the Yokai’s true form. Natsume wasn’t scared this time and proceeded to bid adieu. The Yokai also passed on and left his room with drawings of flowers in Yokai ink. Natsume fondly recollected the memories he cherished with Origami Yokai.
