Negai no Astro chapter 6 will be released on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 12 am JST in the Weekly Shonen Jump's 26th issue, according to Shueisha's official MANGA Plus site. However, most manga readers outside Japan can read the chapter earlier on May 26, 2024, due to the differences in time zones.

The previous chapter of Negai no Astro saw the throwdown between Hibaru and Kou. The latter's Astro, Ashura, proved troublesome for the protagonist. Negai no Astro chapter 5, titled A Throwdown by The Book, begins with Hibaru Yotsuguri taking on his half-sibling, Kou. According to the Yotsurugi family's code, when siblings disagree on something, they are to settle the matter with a one-on-one battle.

Kou tells Hibaru that if he wins, he can take Kuran. However, if it's the other way around, then Kou gets Terasu on his side. Hibaru accepts the terms and begins the battle. However, Kou's Astro, Ashura, becomes a challenge for him.

Outside the ring, Kuran tells Terasu that he didn't stand a chance against Kou because of his extra arms. During the battle, Kou lashes at Hibaru and says he reminds him of his biological older brother, Botan.

According to Kuran, before he and Kou joined the Yotsurugi family, they were involved in a massive turf war in the Ikebukuro. During that time, Botan protected a little kid at the cost of his life. Before dying, he requested his best friend, Kuran, to take care of his brother.

Since then, the boy swore to protect Kou. The chapter then shifts the focus to the duel. Kou's impressive Astro powers corner Hibaru. However, the boy's resolve helps him to fight back.

After headbutting Kou, Hibaru tells him that it's his decision whether or not he risks his life for someone. He also admonishes him for using his powers for selfish reasons, and not to support Kuran, who protected him for all this time.

Following that, Hibaru goes for a full-powered punch but stops at the final moment. He doesn't want to finish him off because he respects Kuran. The chapter ends with Hibaru ordering Kou to admit his defeat.

What to expect in Negai no Astro chapter 6? (speculative)

Given how the latest chapter ended, Negai no Astro chapter 6 will likely show Kou admitting his defeat. However, it will be interesting to see if he decides to join Hibaru's team, even though the latter doesn't want him. Besides that, the chapter could shift to Shio Yotsurugi, and reveal his plans to take down Hibaru and Terasu.
