Negai no Astro chapter 6 recap

Picking up the events from the previous chapter, Negai no Astro chapter 6, titled Older Brother, begins with Kou refusing to give up the fight against Hibaru. Although his Ashura doesn't work anymore, he uses his own fists to charge at his opponent.

However, Hibaru quickly counters him with a punch and asks him to give up. At that moment, the chapter delves into a flashback. It's revealed how Kou's elder brother, Botan, always had his back. He always protected him from harm.

In fact, when Botan was alive, Kuran was a different person altogether. He used to smile and engage in fun activities. However, everything changed when the boy died. Not only did his death rob Kuran of his smile, but it also sent Kou into misery.

Kou's resentment for Kuran stems from the fact that he (Kuran) no longer smiles. He also recalls his elder brother's dream of becoming a security in a club. as he liked the idea of a delinquent protecting the town.

That's why after Botan's death, Kuran established the Sanmenroppi Security Squad. Meanwhile, Kou continues to fight back Hibaru, risking his own life. Suddenly, Botan appears behind Kou to assure him that he will protect him.

However, Kou realizes that it's not Botan who appeared. The chapter reveals it's Kuran, who used his transformation Astro, Cheshire Cat, to turn into Botan. Apparently, he had wished to be able to smile and do silly impressions like he used to in his childhood to gain such power.

The boy acknowledges the shackles of responsibility he put himself with following Botan's death. He also realizes that Kou has been trying his best to break those shackles for him.

Following that, Kuran tells Hibaru that Kou has lost the throwdown due to him breaking the rules and interfering in the fight. The chapter ends with Hibaru seizing control over the Ikebukuro Sanmenroppi Security Squad, Kou and Kuran.

Given how the latest chapter ended, Negai no Astro chapter 7 will likely show Hibaru and Terasu discussing their next plans with Kuran. Although they seized Kou into their team, the boy won't be happy about it. However, he will likely open up to Kuran and express what he truly feels.

Meanwhile, Negai no Astro chapter 7 may show Hibaru telling them about Shio's plans to eliminate them (Hibaru and Terasu) to become the clan head. Overall, the chapter could focus on story building.
