On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the official staff shared a new key visual for the 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You season 2. The visual confirms January 12, 2025, as the premiere date for the sequel. Along with this announcement, the staff announced four new cast members.
Produced by Bibury Animation Studios, 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 serves as the sequel to the previous installment, which aired 12 episodes from October 2023 to December 2023. The series itself is an adaptation of Rikiro Nakamura (author) and Yukiko Nozawa's (illustrator) eponymous rom-com manga series.
100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 new visual discloses the premiere date
On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the series unveiled a new visual for 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 which reveals the January 12, 2025 release date.
The broadcast details have also arrived, according to which, the sequel will air its episodes every Sunday from 10:30 pm JST, starting January 12, 2025, on Tokyo MX channel.
Japanese fans can also watch the sequel on BS11 every Sunday from 12:30 AM JST, starting January 12, 2025. The official website has mentioned that the other broadcast channels and timings will be revealed in the future.
According to the official staff, all 12 episodes from the first season will be rebroadcast on Tokyo MX, from 10:30 pm JST, starting October 6, 2024, and on BS11, from 12:30 AM JST, starting October 7, 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the first season of this rom-com anime as it aired in Japan.
Notably, the new key visual for the 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 features Rentaro Aijo, the protagonist, surrounded by many hearts.
In his hands are the heroines who appeared in the previous season (Karane, Hakari, Shizuka, Nano, Kusuri, and Hahari) and the four soulmates who will join him in the second season: Kurumi Haraga, Iku Suto, Meme Kakure, and Mimimi Utsukushisugi.
Hanazono family's maid, Mei Meido, also appears in the visual. Moreover, the illustration shows Rentaro's eyes sparkling with love as he feels a destiny with his soulmates.
Details regarding the new cast members have also arrived. Amane Shindo stars as Rentaro's seventh soulmate, Kurumi Haraga, while Rie Takahashi voices Iku Suto, Rentaro's ninth soulmate. Lynn lends her voice to Mimimi Utsukushisugi, the 10th soulmate, while Kanon Takao stars as Meme Kakure, the 11th soulmate.
It was earlier revealed that Suzuko Mimori would voice Mei Meido, Rentaro's eighth girlfriend & soulmate. Notably, the anime's official site and X account have shared comments from the new voice actors, who are ecstatic to join the franchise.
Previous cast members will reprise their roles in the sequel, with Wataru Kato returning as Rentaro Aijo, Kaede Hondo as Hakari, Miyu Tomita as Karane, Asami Seto as Nano, Maria Naganawa as Shizuka, Ayaka Asai as Kusuri, and Sumire Uesaka as Hahari. Shigeru Chiba also returns as the God of Love.
Hikaru Sato directs the rom-com anime at Bibury Animation Studio, with Takashi Aoshima as the series composer and Akane Yano as the character designer. Shuhei Matsuki composes the music, while Masanori Tsuchiyai is the sound director.
Since the previous installment covered 22 chapters from the manga, 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 will pick up the adaptation from Chapter 23 and show Rentaro Aijo meeting more soulmates.
