Wednesday, July 3, 2024 saw the official website for the television A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School anime series reveal its October 2024 release window and more. Unfortunately, the anime didn’t specify a narrower release date beyond this general October 2024 window, but fans can expect this news to be shared sometime in the coming weeks and months.

Beyond the release window, the A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School anime series also revealed the teaser visual for the series, as well as its main cast and staff. While a promotional video was unfortunately not shared in this initial batch of announcement news, fans can expect this also to be shared in the coming weeks and months prior to the anime’s premiere.

The A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School anime has confirmed that voice actor Ryota Ohsaka will star as protagonist rookie teacher Haruaki Abe. A character visual featuring both Ohsaka and Abe was also released. Ohsaka is likely best known for his roles as Demon Slayer’s Gyutaro, Attack on Titan’s Marco Bodt, Black Clover’s Sekke Bronzazza, and Haikyu!!’s Keiji Akaashi.

Katsumi Ono is directing the anime series at Satelight studios, with Deko Akao in charge of series scripts. Natsuki, meanwhile, is designing the characters. Additional staff includes the following as of this article’s writing:

The A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School anime series serves as the television anime adaptation of author and illustrator Mai Tanaka’s original manga series of the same name. Tanaka’s manga first launched in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2014, and is still ongoing and regularly serialized in the magazine today.

The manga most recently published its 16th compilation volume in Japan on December 27, 2023, while the 15th volume will be released in English on September 17, 2024. Yen Press releases the manga in English for print release, while Manga UP! Global is releasing the series digitally. Yen Press describes the series as follows:

“Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It's hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering-and now he's going to be teaching at a school full of monsters?! It's a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means at their disposal to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to get his group of ghouls under control, or is this class destined for failure?”
