On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the Ace of Diamond: Act II anime announced that the series is receiving a sequel anime. Along with this announcement, the staff unveiled a congratulatory visual, drawn by the original author, Yuji Terajima.
No details regarding the anime's release date, production studios, etc, are revealed. Notably, Ace of Diamond: Act II serves as an adaptation of the eponymous Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Yuji Terajima. Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine serialized the manga from 2015 to 2022, collecting the chapters to 34 tankobon volumes.

The official staff for the Ace of Diamond: Act II anime held a livestream event on YouTube on Saturday, May 18, 2024, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original series.
During this event, the voice actors of Eijun Sawamura (Ryota Osaka), Satoru Furuya (Nobunaga Shimazaki), Kazuya Miyuki (Takahiro Sakurai), and Haruichi Kominato (Natsuki Hanae) unveiled a drawn illustration from the author, Yuji Terajima to announce that Ace of Diamond: Act II anime is getting a new TV anime season.
Unfortunately, no pertinent details, such as the anime's release date, format, cast and staff, and others, were revealed during this livestream. However, it's expected that the voice actors, who were present at the event would reprise their roles.
Following the livestream, the official website and X account for the sports anime shared Yuji Terajima-san's illustration with fans. The visual depicts the main characters from the Seido High School's baseball team, Kazuya, Eijun, Haruichi, Satoru, and Yoichi.

There's no doubt that the illustration has hyped fans who have been expecting a sequel for this sports anime. However, fans can expect more details about the anime's production later.
Notably, the Ace of Diamond: Act II anime aired 52 episodes from April 2, 2019, to March 31, 2020. The original anime ran from October 2013 to March 2015, releasing a total of 75 episodes. A second season was followed, airing 51 episodes from 2015 to 2016.
The upcoming sequel anime will likely follow Yuji Terajima's manga series and showcase a different challenge for the Seido High School's baseball team.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English. The story of the Ace of Diamond centers around Eijun Sawamura, who joins Seido High School's prestigious baseball team.
