Sawata’s manga first began serialization in Shuiesha’s Ribbon shojo manga magazine in February 2017, where it ran until its conclusion in December 2022. The manga was collected into five volumes, none of which have been released in English as of this article’s writing.

The series focuses on Chizuko Date, an otaku girl living in Niigata Prefecture. She’s obsessed with Berry Blossom, a magical girl who protects the city, but is alone due to the ineptitude of Blossom’s enemy Chroma. Due to his ineptitude, no one cares about their battles anymore. As a result, Chizuko vows to somehow shine light onto Blossom’s battles and adventures, which takes the middle school girl down a shadowy path with unique characters.
