Micro Magazine announced on Sunday, June 23, 2024, that Fefu Kazuno's dark fantasy light novel series, Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra, will be made into a television anime. Along with this announcement, the staff shared a teaser promotional video, a comment from the original author, and more.

Fefu Kazuno launched the Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra as a web novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, with Jun's illustrations. Later, Micro Magazine acquired the rights and began serializing the novels under the GC Novels imprint. Cross Infinite World has acquired the license to publish the novels in English.

The novels have also inspired a manga adaptation, with Yasaiko Midorihana's illustrations. Yen Press publishes the manga version of the series in English.


Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra light novels get green-lit for anime with a teaser trailer

On Sunday, June 23, 2024, Micro Magazine streamed a promotional video on its official YouTube channel to confirm that Fefu Kazuno's dark fantasy light novel series, Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra (fully titled, Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin) will receive a TV anime adaptation.

The short video contains a series of phrases from the original Japanese light novel series and depicts the main characters, including Takuto Ira and Ato. Interestingly, the teaser promotional video uses the illustration of the light novel's first volume. Unfortunately, the PV doesn't reveal details, like the release date, cast, staff, production studios, etc.

Aside from the PV, the author, Fefu Kazuno, has shared comments regarding the anime adaptation's news on their official X handle (@Fehu_apkgm). The author is ecstatic at the prospect of their light novels getting an anime. Fefu-san looks forward to seeing how the characters will move, and how the anime will adapt the crunch scenes.

Aside from Fefu Kazuno, the manga adaptation's illustrator, Yasaiko Midorihana, has shared drawn illustrations to celebrate the anime adaptation. The illustrations depict the main leads, Takuto Ira and Ato. More information about the anime will likely be revealed in the future.


About the Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra series

The narrative of the Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra follows Takuto Ira, a boy who succumbs to an illness at a young age and gets reincarnated in a fantasy world, that resembles the turn-based strategy game, Eternal Nations.

Not only does he reincarnate in his favorite game, but Ikuto also gains the ability to command the evil civilization Mynoghra as the God. Soon, he meets Mynoghra's beautiful hero unit, Ato, the Sludge Witch. Together with Ato, Takuto embarks on a quest to restart the civilization.

Following the strategy of "Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate", Takuto Ira begins his journey as the supreme ruler. Undoubtedly, the series is embedded with dark fantasy themes and tropes.
