Friday, September 13, 2024, saw the Attack on Titan finale compilation film begin streaming its first full trailer, offering a full-fledged preview of the film and its events as well. While the film did release a teaser trailer upon its initial announcement in August 2024, this initial promotional video only showed brief flashes of scenes from the compilation film.
The Attack on Titan finale compilation film also revealed a new key visual for the project, featuring protagonist Eren Yeager and several other central characters in the series. As previously announced in August, when the project was first announced, the film will open for a three-week limited engagement in Japanese theaters starting on Friday, November 8, 2024.

The Attack on Titan finale compilation film’s latest trailer begins with a focus on the Rumbling and the impact it has. This quickly transitions into Hange Zoe's final stand against the Colossal Titans, followed by quick shots of the Survey Corps and their allies in rapid succession. The trailer essentially follows this pattern until its closing shots, which focus on Mikasa Ackerman’s final standoff with Eren Yeager.
As mentioned above, a new key visual was also released, featuring some key characters and scenes. For example, a childhood Eren Yeager can be seen in a recreation of the “freedom” scene, which takes place during the Rumbling. Directly beneath him are the likes of Levi Ackerman, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Zeke Yeager, and several other central characters. This group is flanked on either side by rows of Colossal Titans.
The movie is set to be 145 minutes long with 5.1ch surround sound and is being marketed as a “brushed-up” edition of the final season’s penultimate and ultimate installment. Linked Horizon’s Nisen-nen… Moshiku wa… Niman-nen at no Kimi e, which translates as To You in 2,000… or… 20,000 Years From Now, returns as the theme song for the compilation film.
The Attack on Titan finale compilation film, fully titled Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK, serves as a compilation of THE FINAL CHAPTERS episodes which first aired in March 2023. The episodes were released as two one-hour specials, with the second airing in November 2023. They serve as the conclusion of Attack on Titan: The Final Season, which first began airing in December 2020.
The anime series adapted author and illustrator Hajime Isayama’s original manga series of the same name, which began in September 2009 and concluded in April 2021. The series’ 139 chapters were collected into 34 compilation volumes, all of which have been officially released in English as of this article’s writing. There are no official announcements or unofficial rumors of a sequel series from Isayama as of this article’s writing.
