On Monday, November 25, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime unveiled a new key visual and announced that the series will premiere on January 11, 2025. The anime will also be exclusively distributed on Netflix, starting January 12, 2025. Along with this announcement, the staff revealed additional cast members for the series.

Produced by Studio GAINA, Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime is based on Hiromasa Okujima's BL ("Bloody Love Comedy") manga series of the same name. The author launched the manga on Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shonen Champion, where it has been serialized since October 2021. Eight tankobon volumes have been published thus far.


Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime set to premiere on January 11, 2025

The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the series announced on Monday, November 25, 2024, that Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime will begin its broadcast on the IMAnimation programming slot on 24 TV Asahi affiliated networks across Japan, from 11:30 pm JST, starting January 11, 2025.

However, on the BS Asahi channel, the series will air its episodes every Monday, at 1 am JST, from January 13, 2025. Additionally, Japanese fans can watch the anime on CS TV Asahi channel every Sunday from 9:30 pm JST, starting January 19, 2025. Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime will be digitally distributed on Netflix from Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Along with the broadcast information, the official staff has unveiled a new key visual for the Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime. The illustration features Ranmaru, Rihito, Aoi, Ken, and the two new characters, Umetaro Sakamoto and Kaoru Yamaba.

Katsuyuki Konishi has joined the voice cast as Umetaro Sakamoto, a vampire hunter, who joins Rihito's school as a teacher and constantly pursues Ranmaru to defeat him. On the other hand, Akira Sekine will voice Kaoru Yamaba, a second-year student at Rihito's high school. He's also described as the school's underground gang leader, who is interested in Rihito.

Comments from the new cast members have arrived on the anime's official site, where they revealed their excitement to be part of the Baban Baban Ban Vampire anime.

The series stars Daisuke Namikawa as the vampire, Ranmaru Mori, Yusuke Kobayashi as Rihito Tatsuno, Mayuko Kazama as Aoi Shinozuka, and Taku Yashiro as Ken Shinozuka.

Itsuro Kawasaki is directing the vampire comedy anime at Studio GAINA, with Takahiro Tamano as the assistant director. Yukiko Ban is credited as the chief animation director, alongside Shunsuke Masuda and Satoru Kiyomaru. Yukiko-san is also the character designer of this anime. Jun Ichikawa composes the show's music.

Based on Hiromasa Okujima's manga series, the anime follows a 450-year-old vampire, Ranmaru Mori, who works part-time at a public bathhouse. As a vampire, Ranmaru wants to taste the blood of an 18-year-old virgin. Therefore, while working part-time at the bathhouse, he watches over the 15-year-old Rihito, who happens to be the son of the bathhouse's owners.
