Beastars creator's SANDA anime confirms Fall 2025 premiere and more

SANDA anime created by the same author as Beastars is set to premiere sometime in Fall 2025. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a teaser trailer that also featured the main cast and staff responsible for the production of the anime series.

The SANDA anime is an adaptation of the manga series that was written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. The manga began its serialization in Akita Shoten’s magazine called Weekly Shonen Champion. Fans will be interested to note that the anime adaptation will be produced by Science SARU. This is the same studio that worked on the anime adaptation of Dandadan.

SANDA anime reveals teaser trailer, main cast, staff, and Fall 2025 release

As mentioned earlier, SANDA anime is slated to release sometime in Fall 2025. The exact release date will be revealed as we get closer to the release window. The protagonist of the series Sanda Kazushige was introduced in the trailer. Following this, we are introduced to other characters like Fuymura Shiori.

Viewers also get a glimpse of the fight sequences and the art style featured in the anime. The beauty of Science SARU is that each of their projects has a unique art style.

They managed to replicate the essence of the manga on the three-dimensional platform which was quite impressive, to say the least. The series also released a key visual featuring the protagonist and Santa Claus in the same style featured in the anime adaptation.

Given that the protagonist of SANDA anime is a descendant of Santa Claus, fans would have loved to see the anime during this time of the year. However, interested viewers will have to wait until next year to see Beastar creator’s latest work.

A portion of the anime cast has been announced. Ayumu Murase will lend his voice to Sanda Kazushige. He is a talented voice actor who voiced Hinata Shoyo from Haikyuu and Kage from Ranking of Kings. Hiroki Tochi will voice Santa Claus and he has played characters like Teppei Sugo from Psycho-Pass and Bard from Black Butler.
