Blue Exorcist season 4 confirms October 2024 release date and ending theme song with new PV

Along with this announcement, the short video reveals and previews the sequel's ending theme song.

Blue Exorcist season 4, also known as Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga, serves as a continuation of the previous installment (Shimane Illuminati Saga), which aired 12 episodes from January 2024 to March 2024. Notably, the series is an adaptation of Kazue Kato's fantasy manga series of the same name.

Blue Exorcist season 4 new trailer confirms October 5, 2024 premiere

The official staff streamed a new promotional video on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, to announce that Blue Exorcist season 4 (Beyond the Snow Saga) will be released on October 5, 2024. Along with this information, the staff revealed the broadcast details for the fantasy anime.

According to the announcement, Blue Exorcist season 4 will air its episodes every Saturday on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, from 24.30 JST, starting October 5, 2024 (effectively Sunday, 12.30 am JST, October 6, 2024).

The series will also be telecast on Tokai TV at 2.15 am JST and MBS at 2.38 am JST, starting October 6, 2024. Later, Japanese fans can catch the episodes of this fantasy anime on Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting at 1.35 am JST, from October 9, 2024, and RKB Mainichi at 1.58 am JST starting October 9, 2024.

U-Next, Hulu, d Anime Store, ABEMA, Animehodai, and other streaming services in Japan will allow fans to enjoy the series. International fans won't have to worry because Crunchyroll will stream the episodes of Blue Exorcist season 4 as they air in Japan. Fans can watch the season, along with Shimane Illuminati Saga, which was released in January 2024.

The latest trailer for Blue Exorcist season 4 features Rin and Yukio Okumura showcasing their dynamics. It's evident from the promotional video that Beyond the Snow Saga will focus on Yukio's inner conflict regarding his identity as Satan's son.

Aside from teasing the narrative, the short video reveals and previews the ending theme song, Tsurara, performed by the Japanese band Yobahi.

A comment from the artist has arrived on the anime's official site, where they expressed their love for the series. As such, Yobahi has hoped to convey the series' charm through their music. It was earlier revealed that Reol would perform the opening theme song, Re Rescue.

Nobuhiko Okamoto and Jun Fukuyama return as Rin Okumura and Yukio Okumura, respectively. Daisuke Ono reprises his role as Arthur A. Angel, while Koki Uchiyama returns as Lucifer. Rina Sato stars as Shura, while Yuki Kaji plays the role of Konekomaru.

Other cast members include Eri Kitamura as Izumo, Hiroaki Hirata as Shiro, Kazuya Nakai as Ryuji, Kana Hanazawa as Shiemi, Hiroshi Kamiya as Mephisto Pheles, Tomokazu Seki as Ruin Rite, Koji Yusa as Renzo Shima, and others.

Daisuke Yoshida reprises his directorial duties at Studio VOLN, with Toshiya Ono as the scriptwriter. Yurie Oohigashi returns as the character designer & chief animation director, while Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are listed as music composers.

Blue Exorcist season 4 will be released in two installments, with Beyond the Snow Saga being the first part, and The Blue Night Saga the second installment, which will be released in January 2025. The upcoming cour will continue the adaptation from chapter 69 and show Rin and Yukio on a mission to rescue Shura from her family's curse in Aomori.
