Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- film to be streamed by Crunchyroll in October 2024

Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- has been confirmed to stream on Crunchyroll on October 17 this year and is going to be shown in Japanese with subtitles in English, Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Arabic. It was also revealed that this special episode is going to be dubbed in several languages, such as English, Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, French, German, and Italian.

It is also worth pointing out that Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- already arrived at North American theaters on June 28 and premiered in Japan on April 19. The bulk of this movie focuses on the life of the titular character, Seishirō Nagi, before he enters the Blue Lock project and the start of his relationship with other people, such as Reo Mikage.

Fans of the series who perhaps missed the opportunity to watch Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- will now have the opportunity to see this special on Crunchyroll, as the platform is going to stream it on October 17. As mentioned earlier, this episode is going to be available in Japanese with multiple subtitles, and there are also several dub versions available.

It is also worth pointing out that the film sold 337,000 tickets to earn 463 million yen, which is about $2.99 million, in its first three days back in April of this year, and reached the #2 spot at the Japanese box office in its opening weekend. Several voice actors from the anime, such as Nobunaga Shimazaki as Seishirō Nagi, Yūma Uchida as Reo Mikage, Kazuki Ura as Yoichi Isagi, and more, reprised their roles in this movie.

As mentioned earlier, the bulk of Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- focuses on the character of Nagi and his life before joining the Blue Lock project. However, it is also worth pointing out that the character of Reo Mikage also plays a major role in the story since his friendship with Nagi is pivotal for the overarching plot of the series.

This story is originally a spinoff manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura back in 2022. It serves as a way to develop the character of Nagi and give him a lot more notoriety because of his increasing popularity.
