On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Blue Lock manga announced that the series would be going on a sudden hiatus next week. This means that, unlike what Kodansha previously stated about the manga's next chapter release, Blue Lock chapter 266 is set to be released on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Blue Lock, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, is a Japanese football manga series that began serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in August 2018. Since then, the manga has been collected into 29 compiled manga volumes with over 30 million copies in circulation worldwide.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Blue Lock manga posted a tweet stating that the series will be on sudden hiatus next week.

While Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine issue 29 will be released as per its schedule on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Blue Lock manga will be on a hiatus due to an interview with manga artist Yusuke Nomura.

Seemingly, this information was supposed to be announced in the magazine's issue 28, which was released today, June 12. Unfortunately, the information regarding the manga's next chapter released became unclear in the magazine.

Hence, the official X account of Blue Lock manga apologized for any inconvenience caused. Further information on the same will be provided when Weekly Shonen Magazine's issue 29 is released.

With that in mind, Blue Lock chapter 266 has been delayed by a week and will be released on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

What to expect from Blue Lock chapter 266?

Blue Lock chapter 266 will most likely reveal the aftermath of Michael Kaiser's Kaiser Impact: Magnus shot. While his path was blocked by Rin Itoshi and Charles Chevalier, Kaiser had upgraded Kaiser Impact shot with the Magnus effect for very such situations. Hence, there is a good chance that Kaiser will score his first goal against Paris X Gen in Blue Lock chapter 266.

Such a development should help Kaiser realize that Kiyora Jin's pass to him was intended to stop right before him. Hence, he may form a duo with the left wing-back. Witnessing such a development could break Alexis Ness as he wished to be the person who would help Kaiser perfect the Kaiser Impact: Magnus shot.
