Blue Lock Season 2 unveils its second promotional video
On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the official website of Blue Lock anime unveiled the second promotional video for Blue Lock Season 2 "Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan."
As described by Jinpachi Ego in the promotional video, before they face off against U-20 Japan, the Blue Lock players need to partake in the Third Selection. This selection exam will effectively act as a tryout for the starting eleven members for the match against the U-20 Japan National Team.
Seemingly, out of the remaining 35 players, the best six players are going to be picked for the starting eleven automatically. The six players are Rin Itoshi, Ryusei Shidou, Tabito Karasu, Eita Otoya, Yukimiya Kenyu, and Seishiro Nagi.
The other 29 players will have to partake in the selection exam that will see them play alongside the top six players. The players that perform the best will be picked for the remaining five spots in the starting eleven.
Yoichi Isagi is seemingly going to struggle as seeing his former teammates surpass him should effectively leave him doubtful about his next actions. Therefore, there will be a lot of focus on him, and whether he will be inducted in the starting eleven.
Also, according to the PV, there is also set to be some dispute between the top two players of Blue Lock, Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shidou.
In addition, at the end of the PV, the anime also unveiled its ending theme song. The theme song will be called "One" and will be performed by Snow Man.
The end of the promotional video also shows fans glimpses of the U-20 Japan National team players Sae Itoshi and Oliver Aiku. The PV also hinted at Isagi's two teammates for the third selection. They are going to Nanase Nijiro and Hiori Yo.
