Bocchi The Rock anime film is set to be released sometime in spring 2024. The official announcement was posted on Twitter on May 21, 2023, at 4:06 pm IST. Along with the announcement, a key visual was also released, which featured some of the main characters in a poster.
The anime was well-received by the audience when the adaptation ran its course in Fall 2022. However, the Bocchi The Rock fanbase is incredibly excited for the band’s encore as they gear up for a compilation movie set to air in 2024.

So far, Bocchi The Rock has only released one season. The first season made its debut in October 2022. There are a total of 12 episodes in the first season of the anime. The story has not been concluded, since the manga is ongoing.
The first 12 episodes account for the first 22 chapters in the series. While we have received no official confirmation surrounding the second season of the series, a compilation movie will be released sometime in Spring 2024.

At the time of writing this, the Bocchi The Rock series had released 66 chapters in total, out of which, 61 chapters have been compiled into 5 different volumes.
- Volume 1 - One shot + chapters 1-13
- Volume 2 - One shot + chapters 14-25
- Volume 3 - One shot + chapters 26-38
- Volume 4 - One shot + chapters 39-50
- Volume 5 - One shot + chapters 51-61
Chapters 62-66 have not been compiled into a volume yet. The latest chapter was released on May 18, 2023.
A plot overview of Bocchi The Rock
Hitori Bocchi Gotou has a great deal of social anxiety but is someone who wishes to make friends in her school. She dreams of playing the guitar and be a part of a live band. She spent a great deal of her time practicing and getting better at playing the instrument.
One day, Bocchi met a drummer named Nijika Ijichi, who is extremely outgoing and friendly. She invited Bocchi to her band - Kessoku Band, when their guitarist decided to run away before their first show.
Following this, Bocchi met another person named Ryou Yamada, who was a cool-headed bassist. Their first performance as a band wasn’t well-received and didn’t particularly go well. However, they share an immense love for music and felt empowered during their performance.
The former guitarist who fled, Ikuyo Kita, eventually rejoined the band and the group worked on their skills as musicians during their fleeting time at high school.
