On December 15, 2024, the official website for Bogus Skill "Fruitmaster" Anime revealed the series' second promotional video and announced its premiere on December 31, 2024. The promotional video also revealed the ending theme song artist.

Bogus Skill "Fruitmaster" is based on a manga series written by Hanyuu and illustrated by Air Matsukoto. The manga series is based on a web novel series that also received a light novel adaptation in the past. The manga series has 6 volumes whereas the light has 1 volume in publication (only in Japanese).

The promotional video for Bogus Skill "Fruitmaster" anime featured a compilation of footage from the anime, solely focused on the male protagonist, starting from his journey as a farmer to becoming someone who could wield the powers of multiple fruits at once.

The promotional trailer also showcased some side characters and ended with the reveal of the series' release date, on December 31, 2024 midnight. Therefore, the release date, technically, becomes January 1, 2025, at 12 AM JST. Moreover, this release date is for the early screening at the online Japanese streaming platform ABEMA.

The first episode of Bogus Skill's "Fruitmaster" anime will be released on TV on January 7, 2024. For international fans, the anime series will be aired on Crunchyroll on the same day as its release in Japan.

The promotional trailer also previewed the series' ending theme song, titled Sonna Bokura no Boukentan!, which will be performed by TrySail, a group of female voice actors. This music group includes Sora Amamiya (Chizuru from Rent-a-Girlfriend), Momo Asakura (Ayumi from Charlotte), and Shiina Natsukawa.

The main voice casting of the anime series includes Light Underworld voiced by Takuma Nagatsuka (Kouji from My Hero Academia), Ayla Lawrence as Haruna Mikawa (Jinah from Solo Leveling), Dratena Belbury by Akira Sekine (Raku from Nisekoi), Monica Bolst by Hana Tamegai (new), and Lena Floria by Lynn (Captain Hibana from Fire Force).

Bogus Skill "Fruitmaster" anime is an action-adventure series set in a world where powers are granted based on a 'fruit.' However, eating more than one fruit means certain death, but for Light, things work a little bit differently.

Living as a farmer, Light eats another fruit one day after a disappointing power gained from his first fruit. Surprisingly, he doesn't die by consuming a second fruit and this leads him to start his journey as an adventurer who would gain new powers by consuming different fruits.
