Monday, January 6, 2025, saw the February issue of Akita Shoten’s Princess magazine report that mangaka Momo Sumomo’s Bokoku no Marguerite manga is ending in March 2025. More specifically, the manga is set to end after its next two chapters are published, with the second expected to come in March 2025 assuming no delays in the series before then.
The Bokoku no Marguerite manga entered its climax in November 2024 officially, marking a relatively quick descent from this climax into the story’s ultimate conclusion. However, this could also be a sign that mangaka Momo Sumomo has fully planned how their manga will end, meaning fans can rest easy knowing a satisfactory conclusion is coming.
Bokoku no Marguerite manga likely to end in March 2025 following publication of final two installments
As mentioned above, the Bokoku no Marguerite manga is expected to end in March 2025 given its current release schedule. The manga first began serialization in June 2018 in Akita Shoten’s Princess magazine and has been collected into 14 compilation volumes thus far. The manga will be compiled into two final 15th and 16th volumes, which will be released in Japan in July 2025 and December 2025, respectively.
The series focuses on the titular princess Marguerite, who ran away from her kingdom of Lunaria after the country fell. She’s raised as a boy named Nicolas after being taken in by Christophe, a villager of Elbe, and posing as his son to hide her identity. However, ten years later, she encounters the goldsmiths Rene and Leo, saving their lives from a bandit attack and starting her journey anew.
As of this article’s writing, none of the manga’s 14 currently released volumes have been officially licensed and translated into English. However, Media Do International did previously release all 14 volumes of Sumomo’s Harem Days: The Seven-Starred Country manga series in English. With this in mind, Sumomo’s Bokoku no Marguerita manga may also receive an official English translation at some point in the future if overseas interest increases.
In addition to the above two series, Sumomo is also the mangaka behind the Ten no Ryuu Chi no Sakura and Sengoku Danshi Hana no Ran manga series. However, the former was cut short after 15 chapters were released, while the latter was canceled after just 25 chapters were published. Like the Bokoku no Marguerite manga, neither of these manga series has been officially licensed or translated to English as of this article’s writing.
Those fans who’d be able to read the Japanese manga volumes and are interested in buying them will find eBay is their best bet. While Amazon’s Japanese website does list the series for sale, international shipping is a complicated process that may bear no fruit ultimately. With eBay, prospective purchases at least have certain insurances inherently built into the platform and its PayPal commerce system.
