Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12 sneak peek previews Boruto's new jutsu
On July 13, the official website of the Naruto franchise released the preview illustration for the upcoming Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12. The manga chapter is set to be published on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Shueisha's V Jump super-sized September edition.
In the previous chapter, Himawari Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha were cornered by God Trees Jura and Hidari. Just then, Boruto interrupted the Himawari vs. Jura fight and rescued his sister. Soon after, the protagonist used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport himself to Hidari's location.
At that moment, the God Tree had already pinned down Sarada and was planning to devour her. Just then, Boruto teleported above Hidari and cut off his arm, saving Sarada. With this move, Boruto rescued both Himawari and Sarada. As for Jura and Hidari, both God Trees were surprised by the Otsutsuki's sudden appearance.
With these developments, fans were eagerly anticipating a Boruto vs. Hidari showdown in the next manga chapter. Fortunately, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12 sneak peek teased the same, as Hidari can be seen attacking the protagonist with his transformed curved blade-like forearms.
As evident from the preview, Boruto set Himawari down and used his sword to block the attack. Right after, the protagonist used Wind Release: Breakthrough with one-handed signs to push Hidari away from him. By doing this, he must have been trying to keep some distance between the God Tree and Himawari, and possibly even Sarada.
While Wind Release: Breakthrough is a jutsu that has previously been featured in the series, fans have never seen Boruto use it. The only characters to have previously used this jutsu in the franchise are the Fifth Kazekage Gaara, Kokage Yanagikage, Mitsuki, Orochimaru, and the anime-only character Bando.
