Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 13 sneak peek previews the long-awaited Kashin Koji flashback
On August 14, the official website of the Naruto franchise released the preview illustration for the upcoming Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 13. The manga is set to be released on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Shueisha's V Jump's super-sized October edition.
In the previous chapter, after Boruto failed to kill God Tree Hidari due to his Rasengan Uzuhiko being incomplete, Kawaki finished the job by blowing away his torso. In the midst of the blast, every part of Hidari was blown away except the "Thorn Soul Bulb." Boruto immediately collected it and had Kashin Koji confirm the entity through the toad on his shoulder.
Kawaki questioned Boruto about the Thorn Soul Bulb. As per Boruto, it was something he needed to rescue his master Sasuke Uchiha from his condition. Just as Kawaki asked Boruto about his information source, God Tree Jura sniped Boruto with a bullet-like version of the Biju Bomb. Moments later, he retrieved the Thorn Soul Bulb and set his target on Boruto.
With these developments, fans were eagerly anticipating a chapter that focused on Jura's assault on the Hidden Leaf Village. But the sneak peek preview instead surprised fans with a flashback chapter focusing on Boruto's first encounter with Kashin Koji. Fans had been wanting to read this chapter ever since it was confirmed that Kashin Koji was Boruto's new master. Fortunately, they wouldn't have to wait for long.
As evident from the preview, the upcoming chapter will feature a flashback of events that took place after Sasuke Uchiha turned into a tree. This is evident from the fact that Boruto has Sasuke's sword with him.
As for the events, Kashin Koji is set to summon Boruto to his new hideout. He has seemingly reused one of Orochimaru's old hideouts and has camouflaged the same from outside.
In addition, he can also be seen explaining how the toads he has with him are all scientific ninja tools. While they may look real, he had seemingly used the same to communicate with the protagonist before summoning him in the preview scene.
At the end of the sneak peek preview, Boruto could be seen asking Kashin Koji who is he and if he knew him. This confirms that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 13 will finally narrate the long-awaited flashback story between Boruto and Kashin Koji.
