On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, the official website of the Naruto franchise released the second preview for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 17. The preview illustration depicts an argument between Sunagakure Shinobi Yodo and Araya.

The previous chapter revealed Boruto and Kashin Koji's flashback, explaining how Boruto learned the Flying Raijin Jutsu and why they weren't allowed to share the entire future with others. The manga later saw Kashin Koji give Shikamaru a warning, following which Konohamaru, Sarada, and Mitsuki rendezvous with Yodo and Araya to take down Ryu and Matsuri in Sunagakure.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 17 second sneak peek hints at Yodo and Araya partaking in Konohamaru's plan

On December 18, the official website of the Naruto franchise unveiled the second preview illustration for the upcoming Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 17. The manga is set to be released on Friday, December 20, 2024, in Shueisha's V-Jump February special issue.

The manga's previous chapter saw Kashin Koji ask Shikamaru Nara to send Konohamaru, Sarada, and Mitsuki to the Land of the Wind. The Divine Trees Ryu, Matsuri, or both were set to invade the village in search of Boruto. Hence, the Konoha Shinobi were to team up with Sand Shinobi to slay the Divine Trees.

After receiving the instructions from Kashin Koji, Shikamaru deployed the three Shinobi to meet Yodo and Araya in the Land of the Wind. Soon after they met, the group of Shinobi headed to the location instructed by Shikamaru. There they spotted the two Divine Trees Ryu and Matsuri, hinting at a confrontation between the two groups in the next chapter.

Fortunately, with the release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 17 second sneak peek preview, fans finally have an idea about what is going to happen in the next chapter.

As seen in the preview, Yodo can be seen asking Araya not to act like a guardian and stop her from going after Ryu. She was prepared to do whatever was necessary to save Shinki, no matter how reckless. While Araya tried to reason with her, Yodo immediately asked him to shut up.

Right after, the preview shows Konohamaru asking the two Sand Shinobi to stop arguing as that would help no one. In response, Yodo informed Konohamaru that they always act this way, and it would not cause any hindrance to the mission. Even Sarada Uchiha is shown staring at Yodo as she prepares to execute her part in the mission.
