On Friday, August 9, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up anime (fully titled, Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up? No It Can't!!) shared a teaser visual to confirm that the series will premiere in 2025. J.C. Staff Studios is in charge of the production of the series.

As mentioned earlier, the official staff announced Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up anime, better known as Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu Suru? Iya, Shinai!!, will be released in 2025. Along with the release window's announcement, the official staff has unveiled a teaser visual for Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up anime. The illustration features Himaru Inuzuka, brightly smiling with a stunning twilight scene as the background setting.

About the series

The youth rom-com series centers around the lovely relationship between Yu Natsume, a bubbly girl, and Himari Inuzuka, a flower enthusiast, who swore to be friends for life during their middle school days.

They peacefully spend their days in a small town without any particular development. Himari thinks that if Yu can't find love, she has to take responsibility. However, one day, Yu's first love reappears in the town, turning the boy's relationship with Himari out of sync.
