On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Crunchyroll informed Sportskeeda via email correspondence that Inio Asano's Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction is set to be released as an anime series. It will premiere on Friday, May 24, 2024, and will release its episodes weekly.

Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction is a manga series written and illustrated by Inio Asano (Goodnight Punpun). It began serialization in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits in April 2014 and ended in February 2022. All 12 manga volumes are available for purchase in the Crunchyroll Store.

Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction anime set to premiere in May 2024

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Crunchyroll announced the addition of Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction anime as part of the platform's spring anime lineup.

The anime was previously released as a two-part movie. The first part was released on March 22, while the second part will be released on Friday, May 24, in Japan.

Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction anime is set to premiere on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. IST, on Crunchyroll. The anime is set to release 18 episodes, with a new episode released weekly. The upcoming anime is also set to feature new footage not seen before in theaters.

The anime is produced by Production +h, the studio responsible for producing The Orbital Children. It will be directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa, who is best known for his work on the Psycho-Pass anime.

Joining him for series composition and screenplay is Reiko Yoshida, who is best known for the Violet Evergarden series, Blue Bird, and A Silent Voice.

As for the anime's main cast, Kadode Koyama will be voiced by Lilas Ikuta and Oran Nakagawa will be voiced by ano.

Lilas Ikuta is most popularly known as a singer-songwriter, who is the vocalist for the music group YOASOBI. Some of their most popular songs include the global phenomenon "IDOL" from Oshi no Ko, "Brave" from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and “The Blessing” from Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury anime.

As for ano, she's a musical artist, whose most notable single is "Chu, Tayousei" from Chainsaw Man.

Fans would be pleased to know that Lilas Ikuta previously voiced Hiro-chan in BELLE and ano voiced Mem-Cho in Oshi no Ko.

The anime also announced that the original movie theme song “ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki” performed by ano and Lilas Ikuta will be part of the new series.
