Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love anime movie announced for Winter 2025

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the official staff of the Cute High Earth Defense Club anime announced that the franchise is getting a new anime film, titled Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love, to commemorate its 10th anniversary. According to the announcement, the movie will premiere in Japan in Winter 2025.

The film project will see the previous cast and staff reprise their roles. Notably, the Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love anime movie will serve as a sequel to what has already happened in the franchise thus far. The original anime premiered in January 2015, followed by a sequel in July 2016.

Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love anime movie debuts in Winter 2025

Cute High Earth Defense Club franchise is celebrating its 10th-year anniversary in 2025. To commemorate the event, the official staff on Saturday, July 27, 2024, announced a new anime film, titled Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love (Binan Koko Chikyu Boei-bu Eternal Love!), which will premiere in Winter 2025 in Japan.

The staff streamed a PV to announce the anime movie's production. Interestingly, the short clip features the iconic characters from the Magical Boys franchise, including Yumuto, Rin, Yu, and others. While the PV doesn't reveal much about the movie, it will follow the events from the anime series.

Details regarding the cast and staff have arrived. Kazutomi Yamamoto returns to voice Yumuto Hakone in the Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love anime movie, with Yuichiro Umehara as En Yufuin.

Toshiki Masuda also reprises his role as Ryu Zao, while Mugihito plays the role of Wombat. Yusuke Shirai stars again as Naruko, while Kotaro Nishiyama returns to play Atsushi Kinugawa.

Comments from the voice actors have arrived on the anime's official site, where they revealed their excitement to be back playing the familiar characters again. The VAs have also congratulated the franchise on its 10th anniversary.

Coming to the staff, Kurari Umadani returns to the franchise, credited with the original work. Shinji Takamatsu handles the directorial duties again in the franchise at the Studio Comet. Michiko Yokote joins him as the script supervisor/writer.

Chizuru Miyawaki has also returned to the franchise as the character designer. Tomoko Miyakawa will adapt Chizuru-san's original character designs for animation. Lastly, Yamazo reprises his role as the music composer.

Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the original anime series internationally as it aired in Japan. Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love anime movie will pick up the narrative from the series, and focus on five high school students from Binan High School, who can transform into Magical Boys or Battle Lovers, and fight against evil forces.
