The official Dandadan anime website announced the premiere of Dandadan Season 2 in July 2025 along with an announcement visual and PV. The same was announced through its official X handle. However, an exact release date has not been decided.

Dandadan anime is an adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's eponymous Japanese manga series. Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website have been serializing the manga since April 2021. The chapters of the series have been collected into 17 tankobon volumes as of this writing.


Dandadan Season 2 gets green-lit for July 2025 with a PV and visual

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, the official Dandadan website and X handle announced its season 2 with an announcement visual and a PV on YouTube. According to the short clip, the sequel will premiere in July 2025, i.e., in Summer 2025. The announcement clip featured a key visual and the series' continuation. As soon as the clip was released, it went viral on the internet.

The visual featured the trio of Okarun (Ken Takakura), Momo Ayase, and Jin Enjoji (Jiji), with the Evil Eye in the background. Accompanied by an ominous tone, the illustration suggested that Dandadan Season 2 will cover the Cursed House Arc, Evil Eye Arc, and the Kaiju Arc. More details regarding the sequel will be revealed in further updates from the official channels.

Aside from the latest Dandadan Season 2 news, the series' first installment is set to air its finale on Thursday, December 19, 2024, on MBS, TBS, and their affiliates. The anime premiered on October 3, 2024, and has released 11 episodes thus far. Netflix and Crunchyroll stream the episodes internationally as they air in Japan.

Shion Wakayama stars as Momo Ayase, while Natsuki Hanae voices Ken Takakura aka Okarun. Ayane Sakura lends her voice to Aira Shirotori, while Nana Mizuki plays Seiko Ayase. Besides them, the voice cast includes Kaito Ishikawa as Jiji, Naomi Oozora as Chiquitita, Kikuro Inoue as Acrobatic Silky, Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo Granny, and others. The main cast is likely to return in Dandadan Season 2.

Fuga Yamashiro has directed has first season of the sci-fi horror anime at Science Saru, with Hiroshi Seko supervising the series composition and scripts. Naoyuki Onda handled the character designs, while Kensuke Ushio composed the music. It remains to be seen whether the main staff will return to work on the sequel.


What to expect in Dandadan Season 2?

As evident from the leaked visual, Dandadan Season 2 will likely adapt the remainder of the Cursed House Arc, and begin the Evil Eye Arc, and the Kaiju Arc.

In other words, the sequel may end up covering the manga up to Chapter 73, if it follows the same number of episodes (12) as the latest season.
