Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9 delayed by a week

The release date for Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9 has been delayed by a week, as confirmed by the anime's official website and X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, November 25, 2024. According to the latest information, the episode will now be released on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 10 pm JST on ABEMA Premium, and on December 7, 2024, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ABEMA non-premium channels.

The official staff has cited production issues behind the delay. Notably, this is the first episode of the current season that has been delayed. Prior to this news, the series followed its original release schedule since its premiere on October 3, 2024. The ongoing season follows the Goddess of Fertility Arc from Fujino Omori's original fantasy light novel series.

The official staff released a statement on Monday, November 25, 2024, on the series' official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle to announce that the release of Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9 has been delayed by a week because of production issues. The staff didn't elaborate on the issue, but mentioned it was a forced one.

According to the revised release schedule, Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9 is slated to be released early on ABEMA Premium on December 5, 2024, at 10 pm JST in Japan. Following its early premiere, the episode will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ABEMA (non-premium) networks at 12:30 am JST on December 7, 2024 (stylized as December 6, 24:30 JST). The episode will also be telecast on AT-X on December 9, 2024, at 9 pm JST.

In place of Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9, the official staff will air a re-edited version of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon? III: Is It Wrong to Try to Find Hot Springs in Orario? God of the Bath Forever, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 12:30 am JST, on Tokyo MX and BS11.

Additionally, an uncut version of the same OVA will be released on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 12:30 am JST on ABEMA, and on Monday, December 2, 2024, at AT-X. The production team has apologized to fans for the inconveniences and urged fans to look forward the broadcast of Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9.
