On Sunday, November 24, 2024, the official website and X account for the Demon Lord 2099 anime shared a new promotional video. According to the short clip, the series will begin its Akihabara Arc with episode 8 on November 30, 2024. Additionally, the staff has unveiled a new visual and cast for the new arc.
Demon Lord 2099 anime is an adaptation of author Daigo Murasaki and illustrator Kureta's fantasy light novel series of the same name. Fujimi Shobo has been serializing light novels under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint since January 20, 2021, releasing five volumes thus far.
A manga adaptation with Kiiro Akashiro was serialized in Kadokawa's Shonen Ace Plus site from 2021 to 2022. In March 2023, a second manga adaptation with Yutaka Sakurai's art commenced serialization on the same site.
Demon Lord 2099 anime's Akihabara Arc set to begin on November 30, 2024
After the broadcast of episode 7 on Sunday, November 24, 2024, the official Demon Lord 2099 anime staff unveiled a new promotional video and key visual for the show's Akihabara Arc. According to the short video, the new arc begins on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 12 am JST.
The latest promotional video features Demon Lord Veltol, his loyal subordinate, Machina, Takahashi, and new characters who will feature in the Akihabara Arc. According to the anime's website and X account, Aya Yamane has joined the anime's voice cast as Hizuki Reynard-Yamada, Yoko Hikasa as Mag Rosanta, Hisako Kanemoto as Tratte Gotel, and Setsuji Sato as Korneah Seburd.

The anime stars Daisuke Namikawa as Gram the Hero, Satoshi Hino as Veltol, Miku Ito as Machina, Masaya Matsukaze as Marcus, Hana Hishikawa as Takahashi, and Shizuka Ito as Kinohara.
Besides the trailer, the official staff for the Demon Lord 2099 anime has unveiled a new key visual for the Akihabara arc. The illustration, set in Akihabara, features Hizuki, Veltol, Machina, Takahashi, Mag, and Korneah Seburd, an influential figure in the new arc.

Ryo Ando directs the series at J.C. Staff, with Yuichiro Momose in charge of overseeing and writing the script. Ryosuke Tanigawa is credited as the character designer, while Tetsuya Kato is the music composer.
Based on the original light novel, the series is set in 2099 year's Shinjuku, where the Demon Lord Veltol resurrects after 500 years. However, he realizes the world has drastically changed from his time.
