Tuesday, September 10, 2024, saw the Demon Lord, Retry! R anime officially announce its October 2024 release date, a new key visual, and more. The series will officially premiere in Japan on Saturday, October 5, 2024, Japanese Standard Time (JST) but will stream in advance on the ABEMA service on Saturday, September 28.
In addition to the above, the Demon Lord, Retry! R anime also confirmed its international streaming availability, with Crunchyroll set to stream the series in select regions globally. Lastly, the anime also revealed its opening and ending theme song information, suggesting that this is likely the last major batch of news fans will get before its October premiere.
Demon Lord, Retry! R anime streams early in September, officially premieres in October
The Demon Lord, Retry! R anime will first stream in advance on ABEMA at 11 pm JST on Saturday, September 28. The anime’s official premiere then comes on the Tokyo MX channel at 10:30 pm JST on Saturday, October 5. This will be followed by a premiere on RKB Mainichi Broadcasting at 2 am JST on Sunday, October 6. The anime will then run on BS Fuji and BS NTV on Tuesday, October 8, and TV Nagasaki on Thursday, October 10.
The opening theme song is titled Ashita Sekai ga Owaru Toshite mo, which translates to Even if the World Ends Tomorrow, and will be performed by ASCA. The ending theme song is titled Clanssi:c feat. Yuho Kitazawa, and will be performed by MIMiNARI.
Kazuomi Koga is directing the series at Gekko Studios, with Katsuhiko Takayama overseeing the series scripts. Minori Homura is designing the characters, while creator group SUPA LOVE is composing the music.
The anime serves as a sequel to the original Demon Lord, Retry! series, but features a mostly different cast from the original series. The full cast for the series, as well as who they are replacing from the previous anime where applicable, include:

- Mirai Tachibana as Organ (replacing M.A.O)
- Kentarō Kumagai as Zero Kirisame (replacing Showtaro Morikubo)
The Demon Lord, Retry! R anime serves as the television anime adaptation of Kurone Kanzaki and Amaru Minotake’s sequel manga to their original Demon Lord, Retry! manga series. The sequel manga began in March 2020 via Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website and app. The story originally began as a web novel by Kanzaki on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, which began in 2016 and is still ongoing as of this article’s writing.
