On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro manga's creator, Nanashi, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they aim to release a new manga in 2025. However, the esteemed author didn't reveal further details concerning their upcoming project.
Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro manga debuted on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website on November 1, 2017. The series concluded its run in the magazine on July 23, 2024, with 20 volumes published.
The manga inspired a TV anime adaptation under the Telecom Animation Film in April 2021. Following its success, the series was renewed for a Season 2 under OLM's production.

Nanashi's comments in Japanese, when translated into English, read as follows:
"Happy new year, Thank you for your continued support this year. My goal this year is to start a new series."
From Nanashi's comments, it's obvious the mangaka has the ideas for their new manga set in their mind, which they now plan to illustrate. However, Nanashi-san hasn't elaborated on the nature of their new series.
In other words, it's not known whether the upcoming series will be a rom-com like Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, or will explore a new genre. At any rate, the prospect of a new series from Nanashi has fans excited.
Notably, Nanashi's Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro manga centers around Hayase Nagatoro, a freshman in high school, who loves to torture and tease her older classmate, Naoto Hachiouji, whom she calls her Senpai.
