Dr. Stone season 4 set to premiere in 2025 in three parts
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the series announced that Dr. Stone season 4, also known as Dr. Stone: Science Future, will premiere in 2025 in three parts or cours. Unfortunately, the staff didn't reveal the exact release date. However, fans can expect that to be revealed in the future.
Along with the announcement, a new visual for Dr. Stone season 4, Science Future, has been revealed. The illustration depicts Senku with his younger self, gazing at the moon floating in the eternal starry sky. The visual has a catchphrase in Japanese, which reads "Go to the Moon, Go Right Away" when translated into English.
The enigmatic illustration questions the future that Senku, who has overcome plenty of obstacles with his friends, envisions. Besides the visual, the official website revealed that Dr. Stone season 4 will be the final season of the anime adaptation. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs in Japan.
Produced by TMS Entertainment, the anime adaptation premiered in 2019, with 24 episodes. The overwhelming success green-lit a second season, which released in 2021, with 11 episodes. Following that, the franchise returned with a third season in two parts. As such, the anime is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year.
Aside from season 4's release window and format, the official website revealed that a special art exhibition will be held to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the anime's broadcast.
