Dragon Ball Super Divers is an arcade game and the spiritual successor of Heroes, which is now getting a one-shot manga in October by Toyotaro. While both games rely on cards to work, it has been confirmed that Heroes is going to end and Divers will take over with an option to use said cards in the aforementioned game.
While the future of the ownership of the franchise is still up in the air after author Akira Toriyama's passing on March 1 of this year, it has been confirmed that Toyotaro is going to continue as the mangaka of the Dragon Ball Super series. Therefore, this collaboration with Divers is a further testament to his current involvement in all things manga as far as the franchise is concerned.

The Dragon Ball Super Divers arcade game is getting a one-shot manga in October by Toyotaro
It was recently confirmed that Toyotaro is going to make a one-shot manga for the Divers game in October, although there isn't a lot of information on what the story is going to be about. Dimps, one of the developers of the Heroes arcade game, announced in May of this year that the series is going to end and that Divers is going to have a "Heroes Mode" to play with those cards.
The Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission game launched for Nintendo Switch in April 2019 and also became available in Japanese arcades later that year. Moreover, there was a promotional anime around that same period, mostly featuring non-canon battles and transformations, such as Golden Cooler, Super Saiyan 4 Vegito, and many more.
Toyotaro's role in the franchise these days
There is no denying that the passing of author Akira Toriyama on March 1 of this year was a massive hit not just for the franchise but the anime and manga community as a whole. While it's been confirmed that Toyotaro is now fully in charge of the Dragon Ball Super manga, there are still legal disputes regarding Shueisha and Toriyama's family when it comes to the ownership of the franchise.
Be that as it may, the general perception is that Toyotaro is capable of delivering quality work after almost a decade of working with Toriyama and his near-identical art style. Moreover, the legendary mangaka always gave Toyotaro room to experiment with the stories, as evidenced by the Moro and Granolah arcs.
Final thoughts
Dragon Ball Super Divers is getting a one-shot by Toyotaro, although there is no information of what the story is going to be like. Considering its status as the spiritual successor to Heroes, it is very likely to be focused on non-canon adventures for the main cast.
