On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the Fate/strange Fake anime officially announced its 2025 television run via the release of a new promotional video and more. This information was revealed via the “Fate Project New Year’s Eve TV Special 2024” program, consisting of three different franchise anime programs. Two of them are related to the television anime: its first episode and the Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- anime special.

Likewise, despite the first episode of the Fate/strange Fake anime airing during the program, it seems that a break will be taken before the series returns with episode 2 later in 2025. As of this article’s writing, there is no word on when exactly the series will return in the 2025 calendar year, but Summer or Fall 2025 seems most likely.

To fully clarify, the Fate/strange Fake anime has confirmed that it will return in 2025 to fully air following the Japanese airing of its first episode on New Year’s Eve 2024. As of this article’s writing, neither a narrower release window nor a full release date has been shared. The franchise did share a promotional video for the series, featuring characters and scenes from the first episode and not from it.

In addition to the video, two new key visuals were released via the series’ official X (formerly Twitter) account, which featured several characters.
