Moreover, the visual has a tagline in Japanese, which reads as follows, when translated into English:

"The world will change. All common sense will be overturned."

On the other hand, the promotional video serves as a fusion of the manga's illustrations, the cuts from the anime, and Ando's graffiti art. Undoubtedly, the PV sets the tone for the Gachiakuta anime, which will highlight the story of a Rudo, a boy dwelling in slums.

Kei Urana, the author of the original manga series, has drawn an illustration to celebrate the announcement of the adaptation. The picture depicts the author enjoying the anime on a television.

Interestingly, the anime's website has shared a comment from Urana-san, where they revealed that as a kid, they used to sit in front of the television and wait for their favorite anime to be shown.

The author added that it's a dream-come-true moment for them, with their manga being adapted into an anime by Studio BONES. Additionally, Ando Hideyoshi, who worked on the graffiti design, says that he looks forward to seeing the anime in action.

A panel for the Gachiakuta anime will be presented at the upcoming Anime EXPO 2024 in Los Angeles, USA, where the staff from BONES, Avex producers, and the editor will discuss the behind-the-scenes of the anime's production.

Satoshi Ishino, renowned for his contributions to the Date A Live, is enlisted as the chief animation director and character designer.

Based on Kei Urana's dark fantasy manga series, Gachiakuta anime follows the story of Rudo, a poor boy living in the slums of a floating town, where the descendants of criminals live.

One day, the boy gets falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit and is thrown into the "Abyss," where filth flows. However, he crawls back from the abyss to change an accursed world.
