Over the past few months, the developments that took place in Jujutsu Kaisen's Shinjuku Showdown arc have seemingly shut down fans' hopes for a happy ending for their favorite characters.

Seeing how things get progressively worse for the protagonists of the series, fans have started fearing that the manga is likely heading towards a dark and complex ending.

That being said, Jujutsu Kaisen's mangaka, Gege Akutami, often revitalizes the fanbase with some bright and cheerful character artworks. The latest one, an illustration of Satoru Gojo, Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuji Itadori, was released on July 18.

Apparently, this particular artwork is to be featured in the upcoming Shonen Jump Giga magazine, which is set to be released on August 8, 2024, in Japan.

Soon after, it was reported that this artwork would be featured in the August 2024 issue of the Jump Giga magazine.

Gege Akutami has gained the notoriety of being one of the few mangaka who has no hesitation in killing off his most popular and beloved characters for the sake of the story.

Due to this, fans had to bid tearful goodbyes to their favorites more often than they would prefer. Especially in the ongoing Shinjuku Showdown arc of the manga, which witnessed the heartbreaking deaths of Satoru Gojo and many others.

In order to cope with the dark and twisted events of the manga, fans often turn to the official and unofficial artworks of Jujutsu Kaisen characters, where they can be seen having a great time and just being happy.

One trio of characters that fans are especially fond of, is Satoru Gojo, Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuji Itadori. The mentor-student relationship between these 3 characters is particularly endearing to fans.

Yuta and Yuji are two of the few characters who hold Gojo in high regard. This is because Gojo once saved the two from execution and helped them get on a better path in life.

Fans had often requested Akutami to make the 3 characters have a hearty interaction together in the manga at some point. Since that is no longer a viable option anymore, fans always have a bittersweet reaction whenever they see a Gojo-Yuta-Yuji artwork.

Fans are delighted by Gege Akutami's latest Gojo-Yuji-Yuta artwork

Gege Akutami's latest Jujutsu Kaisen artwork, featuring Gojo, Yuji, and Yuta, reminded fans of happier and simpler times. The majority of the fans were ecstatic upon witnessing the beloved trio of characters make their return. Whereas there were a few who were simply happy to see the characters smile again.

"YUJI, YUTA AND GOJO LOOK SO CUTE," one fan said.
"Gege really keeps pushing these 3 huh? Like the 3 main ones," another fan said.
"It's so good to see them smile again," another fan chimed in.
