Go For It, Nakamura! anime reveals main cast with first PV ahead of 2025 premiere

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for Go For It, Nakamura! anime shared the first promotional video. The short clip revealed the anime's main cast and previewed their character voices. The Boy Love anime is set to premiere in 2025, with no exact release date revealed as of yet.

Go For It, Nakamura! anime serves as an adaptation of the eponymous Japanese manga, written and illustrated by Syundei. The author launched the manga in Akane Shinsha's Opera Manga magazine in December 2014, where it was serialized til August 2016. Later, a sequel titled Go For It Again, Nakamura! was launched in the same magazine and released two tankobon volumes from June 2017 to June 2021.

Chiaki Kobayashi, Yuki Sakakihara and others star in Go For It, Nakamura! anime

The official staff for Go For It, Nakamura! anime streamed the first promotional video on Saturday, November 9, 2024, to confirm the show's main cast. According to the short clip, the anime stars Chiaki Kobayashi as Okuto Nakamura, the protagonist, and Yuki Sakakihara as Aiki Hirose, Nakamura's love interest.

Besides them, the official staff has listed Kappei Yamaguchi and Junko Takeuchi in the voice cast for unrevealed characters. Notably, Yamaguchi-san and Takeuchi-san worked on the series' previous audio drama adaptation.

Chiaki Kobayashi has starred in many hit roles, such as Gabimaru from Hell's Paradise, Mash Burnedead from Mashle, Langa from Sk8, and other series. Likewise, Yuki Sakakihara voiced the Corpse God in Dead Mount Dead Play, Juri in Vampire Dormitory, and others.

The latest promotional video for Go For It, Nakamura! anime shows Okuto Nakamura's suffering from anxiety as he tries to approach his crush, Aiki Hirose. The PV has nicely shown the difference between Hirose's radiant aura and Nakumura's clumsiness. Besides that, the short clip previews the character voices for the main duo.

Notably, the anime's official website and X account have shared comments from the main cast members. Chiaki Kobayashi feels Nakamura deserves the word "Gambare" (do your best/go for it) the most. Likewise, Yuuki-san is honored to play the role of Aiki Hirose, a boy who brightens up the room with his appearance alone.

Kappei Yamaguchi and Junko Takeuchi are also elated to be part of the franchise. Every voice actor has expressed their delight and urged fans to look forward to the anime adaptation.

Go For It, Nakamura! anime will air in 2025 on Japanese TV channels. Crunchyroll will stream the anime in the USA, Europe, Africa, Oceania, CIS, and the Middle East.

Aomi Umeki directs and writes the scripts of this Boy Love anime at Drive studios, with Naoki Yoshibe as the assistant director. Yasuko Aoki is also writing the scripts and overseeing the series' composition. Ayana Tsujita is enlisted as the music composer.

Based on Syundei's manga, Go For It, Nakamura! anime follows Okuto Nakamura, a shy boy who falls in love with his classmate, Aiki Hirose, because of the boy's dreamy and radiant aura. However, his overwhelming anxiety prevents him from approaching Aiki. As such, the anime will show Nakamura trying to overcome his clumsiness and anxiety to finally express his feelings to Hirose.
