On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the Haigakura anime shared a new character PV featuring Ichiyo and Tenko, two important characters from the series. The video also revealed the anime's October 7, 2024, release date.
Produced by Typhoon Graphics, Haigakura anime serves as an adaptation of Shinobu Takayama's Japanese manga of the same name. Ichijinsha's Comic Zero Sum WARD magazine initially serialized the manga from January 2008 to May 2015, but later the series was transferred to the Zero-sum Online manga site. 16 tankobon volumes have been published thus far.
Haigakura anime's new character for Ichiyo and Tenko confirms the October 7, 2024, release date
As mentioned earlier, the official staff streamed a new character promotional video for Ichiyo (voiced by Takeo Otsuka) and Tenko (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa) on Thursday, September 12, 2024, to confirm that Haigakura anime will be released on October 7, 2024.
The staff has also revealed the broadcast information, according to which, Haigakura anime will air its episodes every Monday on Tokyo MX at 10 p.m. JST, on Sun TV at 11:30 p.m. JST and on BS Asahi channel at 11:24 p.m. JST, starting October 7, 2024.
The official staff will hold an advanced screening of this fantasy anime's first episode on September 22, 2024, at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo, Japan. Notably, the latest character PV showcases the main duo, Ichiyo and Tenko in all their grandeur.
Cast and staff for the Haigakura anime
Kaito Ishikawa stars as Ichiyo, the main hero, while Takeo Otsuka plays the other lead, Tenko. Lynn voices Hakushurin, while Rie Kugiyama plays the role of Kaka. Hiro Shimono stars as Ransaiwa, while Ryota Suzuki plays Sanu. Satoshi Hino features as Sonto, with Mutsumi Tamura as Ryu. Ayumu Murase voices Heikan, with Ryohei Kimura as Hiki.

Junichi Yamamoto directs the anime at Typhoon Graphics, with Yu Murai supervising the script. Masaki Sato has joined the staff as the character designer, with Yuki Kurihara as the music composer. MADKID performs the opening theme, Chaser, while Hikaru Makishama sings the ending song, Phoenix.
Based on Shinobu Takayama's manga series, Haigakura anime is set in another world, where Gods and mortals co-exist. Ichiyo, a young boy embarks on a quest to capture Gods who have escaped and scattered all over this magical realm. With his subordinate, Tenko, Ichiyo strives to find four deities, who hold the key between the realm's peace and despair.
