Wednesday, August 14, 2024 saw HIDIVE announce the English dub release dates for some of their most popular Summer 2024 anime series, including Oshi no Ko season 2 and others. The announced English dubs will begin airing on the platform from Thursday, August 29, 2024 and beyond. Unfortunately, the aforementioned sequel anime series will not begin releasing its English dub until September 2024.
To be more exact, the Oshi no Ko season 2 English dub will begin airing on HIDIVE’s platform on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 1 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). HIDIVE does at least confirm the dub for a weekly release schedule, meaning new installments will come every Friday from then on until all 13 episodes are adapted.

Beyond the Oshi no Ko season 2 English dub, HIDIVE also confirmed dub productions for the I Parry Everything anime series, and the original television anime Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night. The former will begin airing on the platform on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 1 PM EDT, while the latter will begin on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1 PM EDT.
Unfortunately, none of the three series shared any additional information on their English dubbed productions, such as the cast and necessary dubbing staff. It’s likewise unclear as of the time of this article’s writing whether or not this information will be revealed in the coming weeks leading up to their respective premieres.
It is presumed, however, that the second season of Oshi no Ko’s English dub will at least see some key returning cast members. This includes Jack Stansbury as Aquamarine Hoshino, Kristen McGuire as Akane Kurokawa, Natalie Rial as Kana Arima, Alyssa Marek as Ruby Hoshino, and Kelly Greenshield as Yoriko Kichijouji. Staff members Shannon D. Reed as ADR Director and Jake Jung in Translation are also expected to return.
Oshi no Ko and I Parry Everything are two of the platform’s five series premiering during the Summer 2024 anime season, with the others being 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, Dungeon People and Plus-Sized Elf. The second season of Oshi no Ko began airing on July 3, followed by I Parry Everything on July 4, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction and Dungeon People on July 5, and Plus-Sized Elf on July 6. As of this article’s writing, the other Summer 2024 anime have not been announced for English dubs.
Season 2 serves as the continuation of the television anime adaptation of author Aka Akasaka and illustrator Mengo Yokoyari’s original manga series of the same name. The manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020, and is still ongoing today. The manga has so far been compiled into 15 volumes.
