Himitsu no AiPri season 2 has been green-lit for production. The official staff announced this news at the Pretty Series Crossing Live 2024 event on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Additionally, it has been announced that the series' first solo event, Himitsu ni Aipri Bazrium Live will be held on January 25, 2025, at Tokyo's Bunkyo Civic Hall.
Himitsu no AiPri season 2 serves as a sequel to the ongoing first season, which premiered on April 7, 2024. The series is an adaptation of the arcade games, Secret Aipri and Aipri Verse by Syn Sophia. OLM and Dongwoo A&E are in charge of the anime's production.
Himitsu no AiPri season 2 officially confirmed for production
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the official staff for the Pretty series held a special event called Pretty Series Crossing Live 2024. During the event, the staff unveiled a short announcement PV to confirm the production of Himitsu no AiPri season 2.
Shortly after, the anime's official website and X (formerly Twitter) shared the video and mentioned that Himaru and Mitsuki's story would continue. Additionally, it was announced at the live event that the first solo event of the series, titled Himitsu no AiPri Bazrium Live, will be held at the Bunkyo Civic Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on January 25, 2025. The voice actors from the anime will grace the stage.
Notably, the Himitsu no AiPri season 2 serves as a continuation of the ongoing season, which has been airing its episodes since April 7, 2024, at 10 am JST, on TV Tokyo and its five affiliated channels.
However, the staff didn't reveal any pertinent information, such as the release date, cast, or staff, for Himitsu no AiPri season 2. More details about the sequel will be revealed in the future.
The first season featured Sae Haratsuka as Mitsuki Hoshikawa and Minori Fujidera as Himari Aozora. Besides them, the anime starred Yurika Kubo as Tsumugi, Anna Suzuki as Tamaki, Yo Taichi as Chii, Misaki Watada as Rinrin, Sora Tokui as Airi, Yuriko Hibi as Sakura, and others.
Jun'ichi Fujisaku directed the first installment at the joint production of OLM and Dongwoo A&E studios, with Nam Sung Min, Park Chi Man, Choi Jun Cheol, and Shin Gi Chuel as chief directors. Gigaemon Ichikawa supervised the scripts, while Yuki Nagano designed the characters based on Yumi Nashimoto's original concepts.
Unfortunately, a synopsis for Himitsu no AiPri season 2 hasn't been disclosed yet. Nevertheless, the anime will likely follow the narrative from the arcade game by syn Syphia. The series centers on the exploits of Himari and Mitsuki, the first-year students at the Paradise Academy Private Junior School, who are also the "idol princesses."
