Kohei Horikoshi commemorated an important moment in My Hero Academia season 7 with an original artwork. The manga artist drew Bakugo Katsuki owing to the contents of the latest episode, which featured Bakugo's death. Fans are still coming to terms with the character's departure.

Horikoshi shared the illustration on X (formerly known as Twitter) on July 20, 2024, at 5:40 pm JST. The illustration included a Japanese phrase in it, which roughly translates to “anime currently being broadcasted.”

The manga artist Kohei Horikoshi uploaded an illustration of Bakugo Katsuki on X. The post featured a sketch of Bakugo with a worried expression. His eyes have been colored orange, which was a splendid touch of creativity from the manga artist. The reason why Bakugo Katsuki was chosen as the subject of this illustration is due to his role in My Hero Academia season 7.

Bakugo has been an integral part of the anime series for a long time. He has been Deku’s rival and constantly pushed himself to achieve greatness. However, in the seventh season, Bakugo suffered a terrible fate, which upset the entire anime-only fanbase. He was killed by none other than Tomura Shigaraki. Despite his valiant efforts, he came up short in the fight against Shigaraki, who punched him hard enough to stop the functioning of his heart and lungs.

While Bakugo faces death in My Hero Academia season 7, he will make his return to the series, all thanks to Edgeshot’s efforts. Using his Quirk, Edgeshot manages to repair Bakugo’s heart and lungs from the inside. This final maneuver from Edgeshot ensures Bakugo’s return to the series. Not only does he have a comeback, but he also manages to deliver the final blow on one of the biggest antagonists in the series - All For One.

All For One is hasty with his Quirks and slowly starts regressing in the fight. Bakugo manages to mix his explosive sweat with his regular sweat, which enters AFO’s body. Moments later, he triggered an explosion that dealt damage from within AFO’s body. Shortly after, he dealt the final blow, and AFO’s physical body no longer existed.
