Sunday, November 17, 2024, mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi shared a significant update on the progress for Hunter x Hunter chapter 411 via his personal X account. Per Togashi’s post, the dialogue for chapter 411 is now completed, which suggests it is nearing completion and may be ready for release by the time chapter 410 is made available.

This is likewise significant as the manga is only planned for weekly releases through chapter 410, later moving to an irregular serialization schedule to give Togashi more flexibility. In other words, Hunter x Hunter chapter 11 nearing its completion suggests fans may be getting more chapters through the rest of this year than they previously thought.

Hunter x Hunter chapter 411 update suggests Togashi plans to go full steam ahead for as long as possible

Likewise, this latest Hunter x Hunter chapter 411 update suggests Togashi plans to go full-steam ahead for as long as he can despite the irregular release schedule. In turn, it seems possible that chapter 411 could be released before the year’s end, with the manga’s currently planned releases through early December 2024. However, the progress on 411 teases that an extra release in the calendar year’s final weeks could be possible.

In any case, Togashi seems determined to do as much work as he can while his health allows him to do so. Other recent significant updates on his work for the series also support this interpretation, such as having his major artistic responsibilities done for chapters into the 420s. While Togashi’s process seemingly necessitates him to return to these chapters for dialogue, this should be a much less strenuous part of the process.

While fans are celebrating this chapter 411 news, many are also urging Togashi not to push himself past what his health will allow him to do. Togashi’s health issues mainly stem from back problems created by the posture he must maintain when drawing manuscripts. Years of working in such a position have given Togashi debilitating issues, to the point where he often had trouble doing something as simple as going to the bathroom.

These health issues are the reasons behind the manga series’ many hiatuses across its 26-plus years of serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Some of these hiatuses have even lasted for several years, speaking to how impactful and significant Togashi’s health issues are to both his personal and professional well-being.

While Togashi’s flagship series has been in production since March 1998, it is not the mangaka’s first work. His professional career in the manga industry began in 1986, with his first major series coming in 1990 in the form of Yu Yu Hakusho.
