Although Togashi and the manga went into hiatus after chapter 400, recent Twitter posts have made it clear that the manga will soon start releasing chapters again. Togashi has shared numerous illustrations for the Hunter x Hunter manga on X (formerly Twitter), and his recent entry in the Dragon Ball Super Gallery project has managed to memorialize both his return and the legacy that Akira Toriyama left behind.

Togashi's return was already generating hype among the fans of the Hunter x Hunter manga, but his illustration for the Dragon Ball Super Gallery Project managed to get an even stronger reaction. One fan mentioned how the illustration featuring Goku and Gon on the same page is satisfying and makes even more sense since Gon is Togashi's own reinterpretation of Goku.
